visitor orientation system | the town museum of munich is a very complex building, consisting of several building parts from different centuries. this complexity is very confusing for the visitor of the museum. a new orientation system was therefore essential.

three offices were invented to present a new visitor orientation system: one from berlin, one from vienna and our bureau. on the one hand our concept should implement an own information level through the museums' orientation system, on the other hand it should neither »drown« the exhibits nor the architecture in a visual way. using matt lamination directly placed on the wall – giving direction already by its form and arrangement – was our solution plan, convincing the responsibles.
